IPAA DIVISIONAL LEVEL

Our College Table-tennis team won the second place in the IPAA Divisional Level Table-tennis Tournament conducted at PSG Polytechnic College on 11^th Jan 2024.

ANNUAL SPORTS MEET

Annual Sports Meet of our college was conducted on 15^th Dec 2023. Swami Divyanamananda Maharaj, Correspondent, SRKV Industrial Training Institute hoisted the National flag. Sri S Mathan Kumar (Alumnus DEEE 2005 – 2008) Managing Director, M/s Om Muruga Traders, Coimbatore hoisted the Sports flag and declared open the sports meet. Swami Trilokatmananda Maharaj, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya and Sri B L Keerthick Sharma (Alumnus DME 2006 – 2009), Asst. Manager-Exports, M/s Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd., Coimbatore distributed the prizes and declared the sports meet closed. Rev. Swami Sarvarupanandaji Maharaj also graced the valedictory function and distributed the trophies.

DISTRICT LEVEL SILAMBAM COMPETITION

Selvan C Jeevan Silvaster of II year DME, participated in the individual Single stick District Level Silambam Competition organized by M/s World Arts and Sports Federation, Dindigul and won the First place on 15^th Oct 2023.

ATHLETIC MEET RUN 

Selvan S R Sriguru of II year DIT participated in the Athletic Meet Run for Little Hearts 2023 – In aid of Children with Heart Defects & Childhood Cancers Organized by M/s GKNM Hospital, Cbe and won the Third prize in 5 kms Marathon on 24^th Sep 2023.

IPAA DIVISIONAL LEVEL KABADDI

The IPAA Divisional Level Kabaddi Tournament was conducted at Sankara Polytechnic College, Coimbatore on 14^th & 15^th Sep 2023.18 Polytechnic Colleges participated and our college students secured Second Place.

IPAA DIVISIONAL LEVEL CARROM

The IPAA Divisional Level Carrom Tournament was conducted at PSG Polytechnic College, Coimbatore on 07^th Sep 2023.16 Polytechnic Colleges participated and our students secured Third Place.

IPAA DIVISIONAL LEVEL KHO-KHO

IPAA Divisional Level Kho-Kho Tournament was organized by our college on 04^th & 05^th Sep 2023. Swami Divyanamananda Maharaj, Warden, Brahmananda Hostel inaugurated the tournament. Swami Brahmanyananda Maharaj and Swami Tadbhasananda Maharaj, Correspondent distributed the prizes to the winners. The following are the results.

INTER-VIDYALAYA INSTITUTION TOURNAMENTS FOR POST-MATRIC INSTITUTIONS

Our college Athletic team participated in the Inter-Vidyalaya Institution Tournaments for Post-Matric institutions Athletic Meet on 03^rd Aug 2023 held at RKMVERI-GAPEY and secured the following places.

INTER-VIDYALAYA INSTITUTION TOURNAMENTS FOR POST-MATRIC INSTITUTIONS

Inter-Vidyalaya Institution Tournaments for Post-Matric institutions were conducted on 13^th and 18^th July 2023 at our college. The results of the games conducted were listed below.

IPAA State Level Inter-Polytechnic Kho-Kho Tournament

IPAA State Level Inter-Polytechnic Kho-Kho Tournament was organized by our college on 06^th & 07^th March 2023. Swami Tadbhasananda Maharaj, Correspondent of our college inaugurated the tournament on 06^th March 2023. Rev. Swami Garishthanandaji Maharaj, Secretary, Vidyalaya Institutions distributed the prizes to the winners on 07^th March 2023. The following are the results.

ANNUAL SPORTS MEET

As a part of our annual sports meet, 5000 m running event was flagged off by Swami Tadbhasananda Maharaj, Correspondent on 22^nd Feb 2023. 56 students successfully completed the race.

Annual Sports Meet of our college was conducted on 24^th Feb 2023. Swami Dhinathananda Maharaj, Secretary, Swami Shivananda Hr. Sec. School, Vidyalaya   hoisted the National flag. Sri S Ranjithkumar (Alumnus -DEEE 2011-2013) Block Co-ordinator, Nehru Yuvakendra (Youth Affairs Ministry of Sports) Govt. of India and Honorable Secretary, Nilgiri Sports Academy, Nilgiri, hoisted the sports flag and declared open the sports meet. Swami Jnanapurnanandaji Maharaj, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya and Sri N Sundaramoorthy. (Alumnus – DCE 2003-2006), Associate Proprietor, M/s RR Builders and Developers, Coimbatore distributed the prizes and declared the sports meet closed. Swami Tadbhasananda Maharaj, Correspondent of our college graced the occasion.

Inter-Vidyalaya Staff Tournaments

Our college organized a prize distribution function to the winners of Inter-Vidyalaya Staff Tournaments on 30.11.2022. Swami Tadbhasananda Maharaj, Correspondent presided over the function and distributed the prizes. Dr S Alagesan, Director, SVCHC also attended the function.

Swami Yogamritananda Maharaj and Swami Japayajnananda Maharaj distributed the prizes for winners. The following are the results.

‘The world is a great gymnasium where we have come to make ourselves strong’, said Swami Vivekananda. In efforts to create healthy growth in the students, our Polytechnic College has included sports as part of the regular curriculum giving due importance to participation in sports by every student.

Every year, our students participate in the divisional-level and state level inter-polytechnic tournaments and sports. A special coaching camp is organized during winter vacation. Apart from participation, we also conduct divisional-level & state-level inter-polytechnic tournaments every year.

All sports and games are provided to state level standards. The college has eight lane athletic track of national standard and an indoor stadium which can house more than 2000 spectators for the sports basketball and volleyball of national standards. Large scale sports facilities are available in this college to cater to the needs of sport-loving students. A twin indoor badminton courts are in the polytechnic campus.

1. On 29^th Aug 2016, our college teams participated in the SPCGS Div. Tournaments at GRG Polytechnic College, Coimbatore and emerged winners in the Carrom and 3^rd place in Chess respectively.
2. On 8^th and 9^th Sep 2016, our college teams participated in SPCGS – Divisional Level Tournament at PSG Polytechnic College, Coimbatore and Secured 3^rd place in Basket ball.
3. On 22nd and 23rd Dec 2016, our college conducted the SPCGS Div. Handball Tournament. SRKV Polytechnic College, Coimbatore is the winners and Nachimuthu Polytechnic College, Pollachi  is the ‘Runners’.
4. On 26th Dec 2016, our college Shuttle Badminton team participated in the SPCGS Div. Tournament at PSG Polytechnic College, Coimbatore and emerged 4th place.
5. On 5th and 6th Jan 2017, our college organized SPCGS Div. Kho-Kho Tournament. SRKV Polytechnic College, Coimbatore secured winners and PSG Polytechnic College, Coimbatore secured ‘Runners’.
6. On 9^th and 10^th Jan 2017, our college Handball team participated in SPCGS State level tournament conducted at Arulmurugan Polytechnic College, Karur. Thiayagarajar Polytechnic College, Salem secured winners and the SRKV Polytechnic College, Coimbatore secured ‘Runners’.
7. On 15^th Feb 2017, our college Carrom Team participated in SPCGS state level Carrom tournaments held at PSG Polytechnic College, Coimbatore secured 3^rd place.
8. 1^st and 2^nd Feb 2017, our college Athletic team, participated in SPCGS Div. Athletic Meet held at Nehru stadium, Coimbatore and secured the following places.
